CP-resins are excellent supports for the synthesis of fully protected and deprotected peptides by Fmoc synthesis.

The deactivating effect of the p-carboxamide group on the trityl system of TCP-resin causes a higher stability of the anchoring bond (compared to 2-chlorotrityl-/Barlos-resin), thus leading to long shelf life of preloaded resins.

Cleavage can be effected by treatment in concentrated TFA with scavengers to yield fully deprotected peptides or, for fully protected peptides with hexafluoroisopropanol, acetic acid or dilute TFA.
