Next generation in situ hybridization and immunohistochemistry

The InsituPro VSi represents the third generation in the INTAVIS InsituPro product line for fully automated in situ hybridization and immunohistochemistry on whole mounts, vibratome sections, thin sections on slides and cells on coverslips.

Features of the InsituPro VSi:

The InsituPro VSi automatically performs the following steps of a typical in situ protocol:

    • Rehydration of specimens
    • Permeation with proteinase K or detergents
    • Postfixation
    • Prehybridization
    • Hybridization with individual probes or antibodies
    • Posthybridization washes
    • Blocking and antibody incubation
    • All washing steps

The InsituPro VSi provides:

    • Individual treatment of each slide or whole mount sample (e.g. different probes or antibodies, different parameters for permeation)
    • Bottle preheating (for posthybridization buffers)
    • Freely selectable temperature for each step
    • Two ports for large buffer bottles for easy handling of bulk solutions like PBST or TBST
    • Heated lid for specimen rack (optional)
    • Cooled rack for individual antibodies or probes (optional)
    • Intuitive operating software for easy modification of individual protocols
      (running on any Windows PC for external protocol adaptation)
