The upgrade kit allows peptide synthesis on resin in 72 columns at a scale of 25-100 µmol or 36 columns at a scale of 100 µmoles using Fmoc chemistry. The columns can be handled individually during work-up which simplifies cleavage and filtration from the resin. For the column module an orbital shaker and a heating unit are available as additional options. Peptides with difficult sequences can be synthesized with higher purities by elevated reaction temperatures. The column module is delivered complete with a basic set of consumables and protocols. The exchange for one of the other modules can be accomplished in less than half an hour and it requires some hardware and software modifications.
